Sourcing research

Build a sourcing shortlist your team can review.

Prepare candidate product and supplier records for a buying review. Keep specifications, listed quantity tiers and source references together so your team can decide what to check next.

THE BUYING QUESTION

Which listings fit our specification and order quantity closely enough to contact the supplier?

A useful shortlist separates observed listing information from checks still required, such as supplier identity, product quality and an actual quotation.

Keep the fields that change the decision.

These are candidate field groups. Availability, definitions and permitted coverage are agreed after reviewing representative listings.

Product and specification

Source ID, product title, material, dimensions and variant references. Preserve the original attribute value when a normalized label needs review.

Quantity and listed terms

Displayed currency, price tier, unit and minimum order quantity where shown. Keep a quantity break attached to the exact variant it describes.

Supplier and source context

Public supplier or shop name, listing URL and observation date when available. Mark missing fields and follow-up questions for the buying team.

FAQ

Questions about this use case.

Does a shortlist verify the supplier or the product?

A data record captures agreed listing information. Supplier verification, samples, quality inspection and commercial negotiation require separate checks and an agreed service scope.

Can I compare wholesale tiers across platforms?

Only with the quantity, unit, variant and currency attached. A displayed tier is a research input; ask the supplier to confirm current terms for your order.

Can you collect every supplier or private contact detail?

Coverage depends on permitted access and the information available in the agreed sources. We do not provide private account data or bypass access controls. A sample establishes feasible fields and gaps.
