Series brochures and model evidence in a Morocco catalogue

Keep document versions, model applicability and the evidence for each technical value connected when preparing a catalogue data brief.

A brochure can sit under a product series while individual models need different values. A technical-data handoff should show which part of which document supports each model.

ClaroDigi describes a series-and-model catalogue for HER in Morocco. HER’s XC page shows model choices and a technical-document link; the linked PDF was not reviewed. These external sources introduce the editorial method below.

Keep the document and its applicability separate

Give each document its own record. Keep its source URL, original filename, language, visible revision and retrieval time. A translated filename should remain connected to the original file so that reviewers can find the same evidence again.

Store the relationship in a separate row: document ID, series ID, exact model reference, relevant page or section, and the basis for inclusion. A series title or a link beside a model can help locate a document. Check the document’s own model list before treating it as support for that model’s specifications.

Trace the value to the model

Use a fictional review example. A brochure lists Model A and Model B under one family name. Its summary gives a capacity range, while a later table assigns a different value to each model. Preserve the family range in the family record and take an individual value only from the matching model row.

When a table is unclear, retain the original value and record the unresolved relationship. Assign a person to confirm it. Avoid filling every model with the family maximum or copying a nearby row merely because the product names look similar. Record a resolved mapping together with the evidence that changed the decision.

Review a change before replacing the file

When a supplier sends a new brochure, compare the model references and affected fields before replacing the old attachment. A changed filename may contain the same material; an unchanged filename may contain a revised table. Keep enough version information to establish which file supported an earlier export.

Define the review scope in the brief. A sample might cover a family with several models, a document with a revision, and a model whose supporting page is unclear. The sample size should follow the range of relationships that need checking. File counts alone cannot demonstrate that those relationships were reviewed.

Agree what the handoff proves

A useful delivery can include the document register, the model-to-document relationships, the values transcribed within scope, and a list of unresolved items with named owners. Check that links open and that model references survive export. Have the recipient review a representative set against the retained source files.

Document linkage, technical suitability, supplier availability and a final commercial quotation need their own evidence and responsible parties. For a catalogue brief, send PandaBuyNow representative source links, available technical files and the target field list. Specify whether you need an inventory of documents, extraction of selected fields, or a review of their applicability to individual models.
